Robert W. Miller
In 2012, Mr. Miller graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. During law school, Mr. Miller served as a judicial extern to Associate Judge Derrick H.M. Chan in the State of Hawaii Circuit Court, First Circuit, and Magistrate Judge Richard Puglisi in the U.S. District Court, District of Hawaii. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Miller served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force as a JAG, where he prosecuted and defended over 50 felony-level criminal jury trials. Mr. Miller separated from active duty in 2021 as a senior prosecutor in the Air Force's prestigious Special Victims Unit, and he continues to serve as a JAG in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. After returning home, Mr. Miller served as a civilian attorney in the U.S. Army's 25th Infantry Division adjudicating wrongful death, personal injury, and property damage claims filed against the federal government under the Federal Tort Claims Act. In 2022, Mr. Miller transferred to the Department of Justice to serve as agency counsel for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. In this role, Mr. Miller provided litigation support to the U.S. Attorney's Office in lawsuits and habeas petitions filed in U.S. District Court. Mr. Miller joined TPM in 2024. He is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before all state courts in the State of Hawaii, the U.S. District Court in the District of Hawaii, the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Mr. Miller is a 2021 HSBA Leadership Institute Fellow, and he is married with four sons. |
