MARK K. MORITA was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and graduated from Iolani School in 1987. He attended the University of Southern California, where he received a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance (B.S., 1991). Upon completion of his undergraduate work, Mr. Morita worked for the Bank of Hawaii in their residential loan department as a real estate appraiser. In 1993, Mr. Morita obtained his State Residential Appraiser license.

Mr. Morita attended the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai'i where he received his law degree in 1996 (J.D., 1996). While in law school Mr. Morita was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and the American Inns of Court.

After being admitted to the bar in Hawaii in 1996, Mr. Morita was a law clerk to the Honorable Colleen K. Hirai, Circuit Court, First Circuit, State of Hawai'i (1996-1998). In 1998, Mr. Morita joined the firm of Greeley Walker & Kowen (later Greeley & Futa) as an associate. In 2000, he joined the firm of Tom & Petrus, n.k.a. Tom Petrus & Miller, LLLC, and has continued his practice in the areas of construction litigation, professional malpractice defense, product liability litigation and business matters.
